Many Stops on the way to So Cal

We’ve been busy moving the boat down the coast with stops at Half Moon Bay, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Morro Bay, and finally to Santa Barbara. We’re spending a few days here to rest and enjoy the town. We saw so many whales on the way down the coast that included a very near miss with a pair of huge grey whales. Thank you Chantell for spotting them! A large pod of dolphins came to play between Pt Arguello and Pt Conception, jumping and surfing off our bow for about 15 minutes. Later, just outside of Santa Barbara harbor, more dolphins came to make blue bioluminescent splashes in the moonlit water around us. The Santa Barbara Channel here can be pretty fierce. Small craft advisories are forecast thru Thursday with strong gusts and steep wind-waves. We’re looking forward to more gentle sailing conditions down near LA and San Diego. Until then!
